Fort McKavett (Historic)

Ft. McKavett, Texas
Directions:
From Junction, take Hwy 10 W, go N on FM 1674 to Ft. McKavett Historic Site on FM 864.
From Menard, Hwy 190 W for 17 miles, then turn S o FM 864 and drive 6 miles. The cemetery is about one-half mile northwest of the entrance into the Fort. It is near the San Saba River on CR 245.
 
Note: Some of those originally buried at Ft. McKavett were later moved to the San Antonio National Cemetery.
