  • The 2025-2026 Virtual Speaker Series – nine virtual or in-person/virtual presentations from historical and genealogical speakers guaranteed to entertain while expanding your horizons. Whether you're at the onset of  your genealogy journey or have years of experience behind you, the Speaker Series offers enriching insights to all.
     
  • September 23 Brown-Bag Lunch Gathering - Learn how to use the Google app and artificial intelligence tools to research, identify, and explore the background of personal objects. From Google Lens to AI-powered platforms, we’ll demonstrate how today’s tech can shed new light on yesterday’s keepsakes. (You don't have to bring an heirloom to participate.) Bring your own lunch; water and tea are provided.
     
  • October 11 Lineage & Legacy Seminar – Don't miss this exciting event! Explore your lineage, learn how to prove your ancestry, discover how to honor your ancestors through lineage societies and heritage certificates!
     
  • Genealogy Cornucopia: A Fall Festival of Genealogy Research – A free virtual event on Friday, October 17, the Genealogy Cornucopia features eight presentations on DNA, deciphering handwriting, tax records, genealogy tech, basic genealogy concepts, citing sources, the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center, and migration patterns. Don't miss this outstanding event!
     
  • Beyond the Basics Genealogy Classes – Led by Lisa Mahler. Extend your research skills with Lisa as she leads attendees through websites and more in this free class held at one of the Tom Green County libraries in San Angelo.
     
  • Help Sessions at the Tom Green County Library or the West Texas Collection – SAGHS volunteers help budding genealogists and experienced researchers alike past roadblocks.
